OPEN DEWAR FILL STATIONS

A system developed by Thames Cryogenics to allow customers to safely fill open dewars from a pressurised supply.

Many customers have bulk supplies of liquid nitrogen on their sites either for use as liquid or as gas. These sources are always pressurised sometimes up to 20 bar. There is often a requirement for a customer to want to decant a small volume of this product into an open receptacle for some purpose and this has been done in the past using a valve and hose but the dispensing of high pressure liquid into a warm vessel can be hazardous. Thames produced the ODFP in response to this need, combining a vacuum insulated vessel, pressure regulation and phase separation into a single, frame mounted system providing customers with a free venting, gas free stream of liquid via a purpose designed decant flexible hose.
